Twelve victories and counting for Kriek PDF Print E-mail
After winning the Botrivier MTB Challenge on Saturday Christiaan Kriek
now has 12 victories to his name in 2011.

Kriek (Smith&Assosiate/Obike/Maties) won the race over 60km in
convincing fashion.

Last weekend (Saturday 22 October) Kriek won the 60km Eselfontein MTB
Challenge outside Ceres.

Kriek has had victories on his road and mountain bike this year, with
his first place in the 99'er one of his career highlights. There was
also his victory in the AMArider 100Miler.

Winning Eselfontein was one of his more satisfying victories though.
"It was nice to be rewarded for hard work. It is always good to win a
technical mountain bike race like this with almost 50km of single
track. It was good honest mountain biking."

On Sunday (30 October) in Paarl at the Buffet Olives race over 50km
Kriek managed another podium place (his 16th of the season) with his
third place.

Cherie Vale was third in the women's race at Eselfontein. She managed
a podium spot even after she had four punctures. At the Buffet Olives
she finished second.

Their Maties' team-mate Heiko Redecker was fourth at Eselfontein.
